NotesA Wisconsin day of action against AI data centers, transmission land‑grabs, and regulators who fail to protect our communities. From hyperscale AI data centers to 765‑kV transmission lines, Wisconsin communities are being forced to absorb the risk of buildout and expansion while billion‑dollar corporations take our land, water, and public dollars. We are taking our power back. On Saturday, July 18th at 10:30 AM, join us for a peaceful assembly at the Dane County Fairgrounds. Location: Sidewalk just south of the Main Gate parking lot entrance of the Alliant Energy Center on Rimrock Rd. Corner: Rimrock Rd. & Alliant Energy Center Way — at the entrance to the parking lot. Address note: The fair address is 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, Madison, WI 53713, but mapping apps often route to a building on the grounds instead of the parking entrance. Look for the Main Gate on Rimrock and head to the sidewalk just south of it. We demand that Wisconsin’s government officials and agencies take responsibility for the energy and AI buildout happening on their watch and are held accountable to the people who pay the bills and live with the impacts. We demand that data center and utility expansion be done responsibly and sustainably, in real collaboration with communities instead of recklessly and dangerously forced onto Wisconsin residents. In Dane County, when Big Data and Big Energy comes to town, we don’t sit by and watch as our neighbors in Beaver Dam, Mount Pleasant, Port Washington, Beloit, Turtle, Janesville, Menomonie, Wrightstown, Dunkirk, DeForest, Cassville, Kenosha, Caledonia, and more have their livelihoods, health, land, and water put at risk or destroyed by AI data center proposals, construction, and operations. We don't sit by and watch as they have ATC lines, and major utility deals forced on them. We stand with them. This action is for the Dane County Fair and everything it represents: agriculture, youth exhibits, local food, small business, and community. After you join us on the sidewalk: ➡︎ Buy a ticket for entrance into the Fair. ➡︎ Support Wisconsin farmers and local vendors. ➡︎ Check out the 4‑H and youth projects that show what our future should look like. Bring: upbeat signs, friends and family, water, and a commitment to peaceful, lawful assembly. Message: Dairyland, Not Dataland. Our Farms, Not Server Farms. Forward for People, Not Just Power. Our land our water our state. Support Farmers Support Wisconsin. Protect Wisconsin. Protect our farms Protect our land Protect our people. Brats, Beer, and Baseline Protections. Declaration of Independence From AI. We choose water, land, and Wisconsin people.
